Manage alerts

Notifications help you keep track of messages and system activity that require your attention. Hubleto shows unread notification counts in the main navigation and provides a central Notifications page where you can review individual alerts.

The Notifications app must be installed and available to your account. The exact notifications you receive depend on the apps and automations configured in your Hubleto instance.

Where notifications appear

Hubleto provides two quick ways to see whether unread notifications are waiting for you.

Notification bell

The bell icon appears in the top-right area of the main Hubleto screen. When unread notifications are available, a badge above the bell shows their number.

Select the bell to open the Notifications page. The bell opens the page directly; it does not open a separate notification drawer.

Notifications app in the sidebar

The Notifications app is available from the left sidebar when it is enabled for your account. Its sidebar badge also displays the number of notifications you have not yet marked as read.

Both counters represent your unread notifications, so you can use whichever navigation option is more convenient.

Review your notifications

1

Open Notifications.

Select the bell in the top bar or select Notifications in the left sidebar.

2

Find unread items.

Unread notifications are highlighted in the Inbox table, making them easier to distinguish from items you have already reviewed.

3

Open the notification you want to review.

The notification can contain a sender, recipient, subject, message body, priority, category, sent date, and information connecting it to another Hubleto record.

4

Open the related record when a URL is provided.

Select the link in the URL column to open the page or record associated with the notification.

5

Update its read status.

Use Mark as read after handling an alert. If you need to return to it later, use Mark as unread.

Understanding notification details

Field Meaning
From The user or process associated with the notification sender.
To The notification recipient.
Subject A short description of the notification.
Body The detailed notification message.
URL A link to a related record or page, when supplied.
Priority A value used to indicate the notification's importance.
Category and tags Additional classification supplied by the app that created the notification.
Sent The date and time when the notification was created or sent.
Read The date and time when it was marked as read.

Not every notification uses every field. For example, an alert may contain a subject and body without a related URL.

Read and unread status

Unread notifications are visually highlighted and included in the badge counters. Marking an item as read removes it from the unread count but keeps it available in the Notifications app.

Marking an item as unread adds it back to the unread count. This is useful when an alert still requires follow-up and you want it to remain visible as pending.

The Notifications page is intended for reviewing alerts and changing their read status. Notifications generated by other apps may also provide direct links back to the record that caused the alert.

Tips

Review the unread count at the beginning of your workday and after completing activities that may trigger follow-up messages.

Open the related URL before marking an important notification as read so you do not lose track of the required action.

Use Mark as unread as a simple reminder when you have reviewed a message but cannot handle it immediately.

If you expect a notification but cannot find it, confirm that the Notifications app is enabled for your account and that the relevant process is configured to notify you.

Common mistakes

Expecting the bell to open a drawer: the bell navigates to the full Notifications page.

Treating a read notification as deleted: marking an alert as read only changes its status; the notification remains available.

Ignoring the related URL: when supplied, the URL is usually the fastest way to open the record that needs attention.

Assuming every app creates the same alerts: notification content and triggers depend on the installed apps and workspace configuration.
